Technique Over Ego
We coach the person in front of us, not our own reputation. Every class is built to make you better, not to make us look good.
Jiu-Jitsu changed Professor Washington Luis's life as a young boy in Rio de Janeiro's favelas. He started training at age 10 at the Complexo do Lins social project under César “Casquinha” Guimarães, founder of Top Brother, and earned his black belt in 2011 before continuing his development at GF Team under Júlio César Pereira.
He moved to the U.S. in 2014, first coaching in Boston before leading the Paradigm Training Center – Southwest affiliate in Houston. Washington Luis Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu carries that same lineage into Deer Park — technique over ego, and a coaching staff that pays attention to every student on the mat, not just the advanced ones.

You're not a membership number. This is a small enough gym that coaches know your name and your goals.
Talent is overrated. We build programs around showing up — because that's what actually earns belts.
